Covering this far-reaching territory is no cake walk. To satisfy surging demand, AmScope’s highly-trafficked website offers customers a fittingly comprehensive selection of products. Naturally, extraordinary expertise is required to keep this vast catalog running like a fine-tuned machine. Which is why AmScope called upon SILK Software.

SOLUTION
Entering the picture after the AmScope’s site launch, SILK is making mobile/responsive a top priority. As things stand, AmScope is a long way from being mobile-ready. Google is even providing a dash of added drama to the story – its algorithm is penalizing the SEO of any unresponsive website. Clearly, AmScope is in the line of fire.
SILK also saw a pressing need for a software upgrade. The modification would take the AmScope site from Magento Community 1.7 to Magento Enterprise 1.14. The existing website is also already integrated with the SAP Business One ERP. Once the Enterprise upgrade is complete, the AmScope site will gain considerable stability, as well as numerous features not offered by Community.
RESULTS
SILK completed the upgrade and mobile site without a hitch, porting over existing data and functions all while maintaining the Magento SAP Business One integration the site had previously.
Additionally, AmScope’s website performance has improved significantly thanks to the stability and added features provided by Magento Enterprise.
